Guys, I've Got to Post Here More Than Once a Year

MONDAY, APRIL 27, 2026: Hi, folks--I'm back! And, like the AI version of Gunnery Sergeant Hartman on YouTube, I've got to exercise some serious discipline when blogging about Climate Change mitigation, because the times are getting crazier by the minute, and we've got a Federal Government that openly proposes bringing about the end of the world! I always knew, somehow, that Trump and his mob had that in mind when ditching the Paris Climate Agreements and canceling funding for climate research. But now, we've got a deranged Defense Secretary with a Medieval Crusader complex who openly talks End Times theology and Christian Nationalism, and threatens to wipe out entire civilizations in the Middle East (and don't even get me started on the Crusades tattoos he's got all over his arms and torso, as if he was a veteran of a Knights Templar fantasy camp).

Anyway, here I am in the relatively sane Seattle area, wondering how long I can hold out in this country under a fascist regime (not on the state level, thankfully), while trying to earn money online in order to supplement my stock portfolio and disability benefits, in case I need to flee the country and apply for political asylum elsewhere; meanwhile, it's time to resume research and blogging on Climate Action/Mitigation measures. Flowering plants are coming up and out earlier than usual, and I've noticed the occasional aphid already trotting across the railing outside my building, waiting for the nearby tulip poplar leaves to get big and juicy.

There's much reading and catching up to do in order to keep this site current; I may have a list of current/relevant reading material up soon. Meanwhile, be of good cheer, and don't worry too much about the Apocalypse: there's not much Trump & Mob can do to fast-track it, regardless of how insane their speech and tweeting happen to get at present.
